As a writer for legal tech companies, law firms, valuation experts, trade publications, and others in the intellectual property legal arena, I know the lingo. I understand the audience because I’ve been the audience.
I practiced intellectual property law–trademark prosecution and trademark, copyright, and patent litigation–for fifteen years. I helped companies from solo entrepreneurs to multi-national corporations develop and protect their brands and creative work. I took pride in digging deep into the persona of each company, understanding the needs and communication styles of in-house counsel and other company executives.
Today, I write blog posts, thought leadership articles, features, case studies, and more. I’m just as comfortable interviewing executives and law firm partners as I am explaining the First Amendment to middle school students.
